Specializing in large-scale portraiture, his work celebrates the resilience and beauty of people of color and Indigenous communities. Through his art and activism, Ruben strives to amplify marginalized voices and foster positive change in his community.

Floyd Mendoza

Floyd Mendoza is a self-taught artist from Pasadena, Texas. Mendoza’s creative concepts include a wide range of mediums including murals, realistic portraits, caricatures, and more. His ability to blend styles to produce a style all his own are visually stunning and evoke many aspects of the human spirit.

With a background in concept art and motion design, Chase brings his precise, technical style to the walls of The Yard.

His mechanical, science fiction aesthetic is present in all of his work, from small pen drawings and 3D renders to massive murals, bringing a little bit of outer space down to Austin.
